Mish Mockovic Martin, a dedicated Yogi, has been involved in the Health and Fitness industry for 27 years, studying Yoga at Satyananda Ashram to attain a Diploma in Teaching; over 200 hours training in the Iyengar tradition, trained in Sports Yoga, Yin Yoga and Pilates, Mish also studied Ayurveda in Sri Lanka. Teaching yoga for over 20 years, Mish teaches at Bamboo Buddha and conducts workshops and retreats locally and internationally.
Whilst managing successful fitness centres in Sydney, Mish represented the National Heart and Medical Research Council, presenting papers on the current trends and behaviours of members. During her undergraduate studies in Education at Newcastle University, Mish conducted an intensive Qualitative Research on gender studies, which was published. Holding a Master of Education, Bachelor of Education, and a certificate in Training and Assessment, Mish has always been dedicated to teaching however equally important, a student to the ancient holistic science of Yoga and its transformative power but also a student of life, attending workshops by some of the world greatest teachers; Glen Ceresoli, Simon Borg- Oliver, Louisa Sear, Louise Hay, Doreen Virtue, Neil Donald Walsh, Anthony Robins, Deepak Chopra, Leon Naxon, and the like.
Author of Insights of a Yogi Understanding Karma thru Past Life Experience, Mish shares her journey of physical pain and despair, her time in recovery and the healing qualities of Yoga.
Mish’s classes are a combination of hatha and yin yoga styles offering the opportunity to stretch tight muscles, release stiff joints and strengthen inner core. Classes are designed with areas if interest in mind, for instance boosting the immune system, liver detox, understanding the chakra system and always include poses, pranayama, meditation and relaxation.
